Ltd. .was founded in 1992 in Ontario Canada and was the first company to be incorporated containing all of our patents and trademarks. Fiber Tech Co. Ltd. commenced the introduction of glucomannan to North America. From the beginning, Fiber Tech Co. Ltd has worked closely and in conjunction with Dr. V. Vuksan from the University of Toronto (Department of Nutritional Sciences) and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food to investigate the potential need and health benefits associated with this new soluble fiber source called glucomannan. Since glucomannan is new to the Western world, Fiber Tech Co. Ltd. helped provide a bridge between this traditional Chinese and Japanese natural ingredient and our North American society. Fiber Tech Co.'s first business activities were the international trade of konnyaku noodles and glucomannan powder. During the years following and various tradeshows, it became clear that the need for glucomannan was increasingly growing because industry was slowly learning about its unique properties and benefits in various applications.
