  • Professor in the Departments of Medicine (Endocrinology) and Nutritional Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, Canada;
  • Associated Director in the Risk Factor Modification Centre, St. Michael's Hospital, University of Toronto, Canada;
  • From 1986 to 1989 he concentrated his research efforts in the area of carbohydrate food and dietary fiber in diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and cancer;

  • During the twelve years working in the Institute of Diabetes and Metabolism (Zagreb Croatia), Collaborative Centre of World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Vuksan was the Principal Nutrition Investigator and the coordinator of the Maltese Diabetes National Program, an advisor for the WHO in different Asian countries, a Nutritional Coordinator in the field of diabetes for the Mediterranean Region;
  • Throughout the above mentioned period of time Dr. Vuksan was the head nutritionist in a major teaching hospital in Croatia, and also as a Director of the National Consortium for the Development, Production and Distribution of Diabetic Products designed for the European market;
